Roast Chicken
Save the day with this simple but succulent, aromatic roast chicken recipe!

INGREDIENTS
1 | Whole Chicken |
70-90g | Unsalted Butter |
Coarse Salt & Black Pepper, to taste | |
2 tbsp | Avocado Oil |
DIRECTIONS
1 | Preheat oven to 230°C. |
2 | Rinse the chicken and pat it dry with paper towels, inside and out. |
3 | Salt and pepper the cavity, truss the chicken, tie up the wings and legs to keep it moist. |
4 | Place chicken on a roasting pan, roast it for 1 hour. |
5 | Remove it from the oven. Baste the chicken and let it rest for 15 minutes on cutting board. |
6 | Remove twine and cut the chicken into pieces. |
7 | Brush the meat with fresh butter, and serve it. |
8 | Drizzle avocado oil and season with salt and pepper. |
Coating the chicken skin with enough salt will result in crisp, salty and flavourful skin.
